Churchill’s Final Journey
30th January – 1st May 2015
To mark 50 years since Sir Winston Churchill’s State Funeral, the newly cosmetically restored SR Battle of Britain class 34051 ‘Winston Churchill’, locomotive, the Southern Railway’s baggage van as well as the Pullman carriage ‘Lydia’, which were all part of Churchill’s solemn last journey, will be reunited.
Visit the commemorative ‘Churchill’s Final Journey’ display from 30th January to get up close to the steam-pulled train, which will be reunited for the first time since the former Prime Minister’s Funeral.
