mendip-steam-dreamThe Stroudley tank was at the Railway Preservation Society Midlands Division at Hednesford for a while, then moving to Chasewater, although it never steamed at either venue.


The water tank insideNo.828’s tender had developed a leak and she lost much of the water taken on at Yeovil.  It was repaired by welding, received a sonic test and a complete coat of paint inside.  Subject to British Railways examiners being satisfied, it should have been back at work within a couple of days.
