Steam preservation in the 1980s & 90s

Nov 12 1993

I’ve been given a number of old publications from the 1980s and 1990s.

These two photographs were on the same page in november 1993.

There is an article underneath the lower photo about the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway Autumn Gala.  Part of it reads:

‘Without doubt, the star attraction was the Gresley A3 Pacific, No. 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ on loan to the GWR for a two month period, due to move on to Birmingham Railway Museum at Tyseley.’

The caption on the top photo has got confused somehow, not least because Brixham Station closed in 1963.

Can anyone tell me if the photo was taken on the GWR somewhere, please?

Or was it Brixham at an earlier date?
